“I Am Malala – The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban” by Malala Yousafzai with Christina Lamb
For those of us who are lucky enough to enjoy first world education, we compete fiercely for top results, branded schools and certificates in hopes for big pay-checks and lofty lives.
Or some of us question, complain, and rebel against the bureaucracy and institutional bias as we chase ‘the equality’, in favour of our own dreams.
For others like Malala, they are fighting for the right to merely go to school at the risk of their own lives.
It seems like the war never ends. But again, the pursuit for perfection in all perspectives for self and others will never stop too. It’s only a human condition. Yet, mindfully tackling these battles will make the living all worthwhile.
And so, we keep going forth.
